How To Prepare For A Movie Opening --by Bob Dolman
How To Eat Fried Worms opens this Friday, August 25th, and I suppose that I ought to be cool and reserved about that, but the truth is I'm really really excited! We had so much fun making this movie, and all along we kept thinking, "One day it's going to come out in theatres and kids (and adults) are going to enjoy watching it as much as we enjoyed working on it" (by "we" I mean the actors and the crew and the editors and the producers and the studio executives and the worms). I can't wait to sit in a theatre and watch it with a real audience (by "real audience" I mean everybody in the whole wide world who loves going to the movies) and listen to the laughter and even the groans when Billy eats the you-know-whats.In the meantime:
If you have any thoughts about this movie or about anything at all, please write to us on this blogsite. We know you're out there: we had a thousand visitors to this site in the past 24 hours. (There's a machine that keeps track.) We'd like to hear from you! Are you a fan of the book, How To Eat Fried Worms? Did you see the trailer yet? What's your favorite color? Can you do a cartwheel? When does school start? Have you ever been the "new kid"? Can you cross your big toe over your second toe? Or, seriously: would you like to ask us a question?

Thanks!

We live in Oklahoma City and Blake Garrett is one of my son's good friends. We were lucky enough to get invited the private premiere last night and LOVED the movie. It was even more cool to see our friend in the movie. We will be seeing this movie over and over and even buying it when we can. Thanks for a great movie and lots of family fun and laughs. I am a fifth grade teacher and we are almost finished reading the book! This was my favorite book as a child, so I am very excited about the movie.
I plan on surprising my class and arranging to take them to the movie.

Hi. This is Kate Krause and I am the girl that is flying through the air in that picture. I had a lot of fun being an extra in the movie. My brother Nick was in the movie, too. He's really not mean.
